What Kind of Healthy Baby Food Acquired for a baby

Preparing Healthy Food for a baby can be tricky. When the baby start to wean and start to eat solid food, the headache normally sets in for the mother or the baby’s caregiver. At 6 months, the baby is ready for solid food. What kind of food and how to prepare them is a skill acquired over a period of time. Food allergy is also another important matter to keep in mind while letting baby explore and taste different types of food.

One of the first food for baby to try is instant baby cereal or baby oatmeal. It is easy to prepare by just adding warm breast milk or formula milk (instead of just warm water) to the cereal or oatmeal. This is to ensure that the baby gets a healthy dose of milk even though the baby has started on solids.

Of course the next are fruits, vegetables and meat. Normally one or 2 types of fruits and vegetables are being given to the baby at a small amount (2-3 teaspoons) over  a period of 3-5 days to determine if the baby is allergic to any of the food given. The fruits are normally prepared by juicing them. For the vegetables, it is usually boiled until soft and blender till smooth. The preparation for the meat is the same as for the vegetables. Ideally, it is better to give the baby organic food first to test and proceed to non-organic food slowly. However, if one finds that it is too time consuming to cook for the baby, one can easily choose to buy instant healthy baby food from reputable brands like Heinz and Gerber.
